I stole this little pic when I was blog hopping this morning (and putting off doing the laundry!) Most of you know that when Collins was very young we started trying to have more children. Through this process God gave me a love and appreciation for Mary Blake, Collins and especially Brad that I might never have had. I am not saying everything over the next 4 years was always easy. . . I had two surgeries and even visited a specialist who told us that we had a "less than 10 percent" chance of conceiving again without some type of intervention like IVF. So, we began the long adoption process. . . You all know that after the 10 month paper work process and 2 years of being on the waiting list God gave us the awesome of news of being pregnant. And now, with Griffin being 11 months, we are expecting baby #4!!! Which is why this verse says it all! "God is able to do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine. . . " Ephesians 3:20

Well, we pulled it off

Last week our church hosted a conference. Ginger and I were in charge of the flowers for the luncheon and the green room. I am not sure why I only took these two pics, but we actually pulled off arranging 12 small vases, 1 big arrangement, and 2 medium arrangements. Only a few daisies were decapitated. We still never figured out how to wire those flowers. I think florists are worth every penny. Think we should go into business Ginger????

 

 

End of 2nd Grade

The same day Collins had his program, Mary Blake also had her awards day and a visit from the soldiers in Discovery Class. Mary Blake received an award for having the second highest number of AR points (in the whole 2nd grade!) and an award for being the student of the month in Feb. She has totally spoiled me. . . she absolutely loves school and I never have to ask her to do her homework. Most of the time, she completes it before she leaves school or on the way home from school. When it comes to school projects, she is very on top of things - instead of me reminding her of getting things done, she is reminding me of what she needs to do. I just had to take a moment to brag on her! While I am at it, I have to brag on Collins' reading skills. . . it seems like overnight, he is reading everything - sounding words out easily! He even got to read books to the class on several occasions.

 

 

 

 

Kindergarten Celebration

Collins has officially graduated from Kindergarten. The kindergarten class performed "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" for all of the parents. It was the cutest program. Marsh and PawPaw were able to make it and Collins was quite pleased and teased. . . Griffin decided that having all 125 students walk across the stage to shake the vice principal's hand was very boring, so he fell asleep. For the record, I totally agreed with Grif.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Baby Brashier #4 due beginning of December!

Little eggs

Not only are my hanging baskets still alive after a month, one has a bird's nest with 5 little eggs in it! Last night we watched the mama bird land in the basket right by us then she flew in our house!!! She flew straight to the kid's room. I guess it only took about 3 minutes to get the bird out, but we had several "accidents" (i know, gross) to clean up.

 

 

 

Griffin 10 months

Griffin is now 10 months - Please slow down Griffin!! He is growing up so fast. He is also very independent. Last night I gave up on feeding him the spaghetti and let him do it himself. He LOVED it. Wish you could hear him smack. Hilarious. He is now crawling everywhere and trying to pull up. He only gets to his knees. 27lbs is a lot to heave into a standing position.

 

 

 

 

Children''s Museum

Mooreville's entire second grade took a field trip to Memphis to the Children's Museum. If you have never been, it is worth the trip. Of course, the whole fam went...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Using their imagination

Mary Blake and some of the Sanders' girls had fun gather things from the yard (along with a few things from inside)making this pretend salad bar. It reminds me of the time my sister and I made a soup at my dad's barn. . . out of scraps from outside and the composte pile. Lovely. Daddy even let us cook it - and everyone try it!!! (yuck)

Collins' Field Trip

A couple of weeks ago, the whole kindergarten class took a field trip to downtown Tupelo. We went to the library, the firestation, the courthouse, and then to Veteran's Park. We even got to see Mr. Charlie at the firestation!
