Boxer man

I know I have shared this story with most of the fam, but I wanted to put it in here, so that one day when I finally get around to printing out the last 2 years of blogging, it'll be there. Last Friday, I got a call from Sherry (sweetest lady ever) in the office at Collins' school. She said that Collins had a tee tee accident and got his pants wet. She found him some undies and boxers to go over them, but felt sure I would want to come get him. Threw griffin in the car and sped down 78....all the while imagining the embarrassment Collins must be feeling. Poor thing, wet his pants, and is now hanging out in boxers in the office! Oh no, he also wore his black Diego socks. So, now I am picturing him embarrassed, boxers, black socks, white new balances.....when will i get there???? I get there, jog with Griffin across the parking lot and find my boy dancing - yes dancing - around the office - black socks and all. Hey Mama! Look at my cool shorts!!! Not a care in the world! I asked him what happened and he said that Jake had done something so funny it made him laugh and wet his pants!

Please don't tell him. . ..

I served these at supper last week. Collins (my extremely picky eater) came up to the table and said what is that? (that happens every night). . . I told him they were cheesy bread bowls - lying by omission, I know. Anyway, he said YUM, then proceeded to eat 5 of them! DO NOT tell him he ate spinach and artichokes - Don't wanna ruin my moment. If anyone has time, call me and I will tell you the many many stories of him gagging on things AND throwing up - fun times, yes, fun times

Happy Birthday Mary Blake and Collins!!

Mary Blake just turned 8 and Collins turned 6. Where has the time gone??? When did my babies become "big kids"? This year they wanted a big top cupcake for their cakes. . . you know, the crazy infomercial that comes on during Saturday morning cartoons??? Friday I began baking the cupcake cakes - supposedly 25x bigger than your average cupcake. They looked so small. So, I baked 2 more. Note to self: One cake is PLENTY! I now have 2 and 1/2 cupcake cakes left!!! We had popcorn (thanks to the waterers for the popcorn maker), corndogs, chips and dip. Such gourmet food. Thanks to all the fam for making the trek to Tupelo. Even Banks (Elisabeth's dog) came to the party!

School Birthdays

What a busy week. I started off really behind due to us all - except Griffin - having the stomach bug. Yuck, I know. Monday was MB's birthday and Wednesday was Collins' birthday. So, Griffin and I loaded up the party gear and made our appearance for the school parties! Mary Blake opted for fruit and fruit dip for her school treat. (My health nut) Collins went for making twinkie cars with cookies, teddy grahams, pretzels, and marshmallows!

My Little Pilgrim

Mary Blake whipped up this little number for Griffin with the sleeves that Brad cut off his white t-shirt. He sported that cut-off tee at a basketball game. Apparently that is an ok thing to do?!
