Give Thanks!

Last night we had our annual Thanksgiving supper at church. After supper we gather in the sanctuary and spend time giving thanks for all that God has given us. When we got in the car Brad and I realized that one very important individual was not recognized . . . probably because he was leading the service! So, I wanted to take this time to give thanks to God for KURT COOPER. Our church has gone through a major transition time since our senior pastor moved in May. Kurt carried the huge load of senior pastor and youth minister all at the same time. Brad and I are personally thankful for the delivery of God's Word that he gives from the pulpit every time he preaches. Such a powerful preacher! So, thank you Kurt for all of your time and dedication that you have poured into Lawndale. ALSO, thank you Marty for supporting Kurt through all of this. We love you both SO much!

ZOO

Two weeks ago, we headed to Memphis with Collins' kindergarten class. Those kiddos were too cute. The pic of Collins is with his "girlfriend" of the day, Kaylee. She is a doll. . . I can see why he likes her. He very strategically stood by her most of the day. Griffin came along too. Collins was really proud of his little brother!

Little Pumpkin

Sweet little pumpkin pie! Mary Blake loves to hear stories about when she was a baby. Her favorite is that I worried she wouldn't know her name because I called her "punkin" all of the time!

Griffin's Baptism - 14 weeks old

This Sunday was Griffin's Baptism. Such a sweet day - surrounded by our families and our church family. Blessed day. I tried to get a good pic of everyone dressed in their Sunday best, but either Griffin was asleep, or not happy (as you can see)

The Cheerleader

Mary Blake got to participate in a mini-cheerleading camp at Mooreville. This Friday, we got to view all of her hard work. I dropped my camera right before the performance and didn't get any pics of her on the field. She really did a great job and had fun. So did Collins . . . quite the ladies man . . . he kept wanting to leave the stands to talk to his kindergarten classmates that were cheering too. I am not kidding you when I say that I saw one of the girls swoon over him. We are going to be in TROUBLE!

Trip to Jackson

2 weeks ago, we took a trip to Jackson to visit Lis and Jay and the Brashiers. JJ and Pops took the kids to the Museum where we enjoyed the Animals of the Sea exhibit. Lots of fun! We also got to see Elisabeth and Jay's new house and visit with them. Fun-filled weekend!

Crazy man

Last week I walked in to find Collins' feet sticking out of his homeade tent. He was sound asleep! Brad and I transferred him to his bed. . . around midnight he woke me up very upset that he was not still in his tent. I told him I took a picture of him and that seemed to satisfy him enough to fall back asleep in his bed. The next night when I went in to turn his lights off - I found him asleep on the floor again!
