Happy Valentines Day!

Before I get to Valentines Day, I must back up to Valentine's Eve.....It started with Wren waking up lots throughout the night with fever. We stayed home instead of heading to the Wellness Center. I was feeling pretty anxious because my mama was having a pretty big procedure to determine if there was cancer in her lymph nodes and surgery to remove the melanoma on the heel of her foot. I decided to get my mind off things by rearranging my furniture. I tried and tried to get a table out of my laundry room. It just wouldn't work. So, I decided to pull the table out into the garage, then in through the living room doors. I am leaving out the fact that the table was awkwardly heavy, but I pressed on. To get the table out, I had to back the van out, so I hopped in the van and backed it out, door slightly ajar. UH-OH....I slammed the open door into the garage door frame denting the both frames - the garage door won't close and the van driver's side door won't close. REALLY???
Skip ahead to a forgiving Brad (I mean after 12 years of marriage he is quite used to my one woman accidents), got a babysitter to drop van off. Please try to picture the 15 minute drive to the car shop with me holding my ajar door from flying open. At this point in the day, I just had to laugh.

Now, on to Valentines Day. I had to miss Griffin, Mary Blake, and Collins' party because Wren is still sick. Fever up to 103 - ear infection and rotten cold. I was pretty bummed about that. For gifts this year, I went a different route - hoola hoops! the pictures show how well those went over.

Now to the thing that made this the BEST valentines ever - my mother got a call letting her know that a melanoma (on the heel of her foot) had not spread to the lymph nodes!
HaPpY HaPpY VaLEtiNes Day!

  1. I hope Wren is feeling better. Anne Elise got sick that same day. It must have gone around the church nursery! I totally understand the lady accident. I hit a curb 2 weeks ago, and now have 2 new shiny expensive rims. The hula-hoops look like a blast! Great job Sarah! The pictures look like they are having a fun time.
