GRIFFIN'S BIRTHDAY!
This Saturday, we celebrated Griffin's first birthday. It was really hot, so I was glad I borrowed Bonnie Jone's water slide. The big kids slid happily, while the adults and Griffin ate in peace!! Griffin was on cloud nine with constant attention and lots of new toys. Not to mention, he got to have a whole cake put in front of him. He started out slowly sticking one finger in at a time, then he figured out he could make a mess with it and completely karate chopped it up. I didn't realize till watching Elisabeth's video later that Isaac and Elliott were constantly shoveling bites of cake in their mouths! I totally copied my craftiest friend Sarah Largen, and bought fondant toppers from Etsy and a caramel cake from Piggly Wiggly. I decorated the cake with animal toys and circus peanuts. Those circus peanuts disappeared quicker than the cake!

VBS 2010
We started the summer of with VBS at my parents church, then we had our Bible School this week. Rebekah, Garrison and Elliott came and spent the night too. Each afternoon Mary Blake and Collins went to the Sander's house for stroke swim lessons. Each night, it took them about 5 minutes to fall asleep! They were so tired!
